Chocolate Chip Brownie Bars For the Cookie Dough: 1 cup softened butter 1\2 cups firmly packed brown sugar 2 large eggs 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup semisweet chocolate morsels For the Brownie Batter: One 18.4-ounce box brownie mix 1/3 cup vegetable oil 1/4 cup water 2 large eggs Prepare the Oven & Pan: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a 13 × 9-inch baking pan with heavy-duty aluminum foil or parchment paper leaving a 2-inch overhang, and spray lightly with nonstick cooking spray. Make the Cookie Dough: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add 2 eggs and beat well. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until a soft dough forms, then fold in the chocolate morsels. Make the Brownie Batter: In another large bowl, combine the brownie mix, vegetable oil, water, and the remaining 2 eggs. Beat until well blended. Assemble: Spread the cookie dough evenly into the bottom of your prepared pan. Pour the brownie mixture directly over the cookie dough and use a butter knife to gently swirl the two batters together. (I don’t swirl) Bake & Chill: Bake until the edges pull away from the sides of the pan, about 40 minutes. (I did 50) Let it cool in the pan for 1 hour, then cover and refrigerate for 4 hours before slicing into bars. Enjoy! #EasyRecipe #chocolatechipbrowniebars #dessert #brownies
