Sorry, but you’ve gone to a lot of trouble for nothing. There’s flux everywhere. You could have easily removed that SMD component with a soldering iron and just soldered it on with a bit of flux. There’s absolutely no point in cleaning off the old solder.

Flux removes impurities from solder that's what allows it to do its job there's no reason to remove old solder from a joint. Apply some flux, smooth it out use your airflow to place your new part you're done. If you're removing the solder you're wasting your time. this is from somebody with more than 20 years experience in the industry.
