Not a teen boy problem but a handheld shower is great for hosing off dirty feet, rinsing kids, washing the dog, etc. Wish I had one maybe the next house

I was actually wondering how you would handle the humidity affecting the clothing. When you said the bathroom would also be used for clothing storage, I immediately thought that would be a problem. Tying the vent to a humidistat is a great solution.

I love that you worked with the person not against him. Teen boys have a tendency to be a bit messy so you made it easy for him to clean up after himself. Hopefully that makes it easier for his parents to teach him to he self sufficient

I don’t have water closets in my bathrooms, so just one general exhaust fan in each. Timers are a must, for me. Set them to an hour as I turn the shower on and they do such a nice job. No thoughts about them running excessively. Your two-fan solution here with the water closet is absolutely spectacular!

A few years ago I replaced all my bathroom vent switches to the humidity sensing kind and I absolutely love it. I also have that sink soap dispenser retrofit on my kitchen sink and it’s amazing.!
