I'm always baffled by people who GREATLY prefer Across over Into. Into is 40 minutes shorter and twice as powerful in my opinion. Both good, but Into is exceptional.

to be fair, and i don't know if you knew this going in, but it was originally called Across The Spider-Verse Part 1, and the name change happened so late that a lot of merch still has that printed on that. it was always gonna feel like this because it was always one half of a larger story

I do agree into is better than across, I do understand the feeling of it not “ending” and just setting up but that twist scene is one of the best twists I’ve seen in a movie in awhile reminded me of empire in a way.

So supposedly across and beyond we’re supposed to be one movie at first. They should’ve just made a 4 hour movie, everyone would’ve loved it 😭

I think that was a bad summary. Across has even higher highs but is less seamless. It’s almost like tlou1 and tlou2, tlou1 is just this perfect story/game whole tlou2 is peak but has fundamental issues.
