I used to teach this to my daughters, when they were little girls. They still call some of friends auntie and uncle. And they clearly perceive the difference among ordinary "friends" and our significant ones, just like when we were in Ethiopia ❤️🙏🏽

That is true in Ethiopia. In some culture the wife cannot call her husband by his name as in the previous comment, rather by her son name followed by 'father'. For example, የካሣሁን አባት.
