I don’t shave past the knees because the hair there is very blonde & thin, you can only see it on certain angles with the light hitting it in a way. Also I’m lazy asf lol

because my mom's all turned dark, even on her face (we both have pcos) HOWEVER mine stayed white even with shaving. the only dark hair is on my calves and only on the front for some reason. idk wtf is going on 😂

It was an incentive to keep the hem of your skirts low. They knew we were starting to get insecure about being harry so they let us shave but they didn’t want us trying to wear miniskirts so they said no shaving above the knee. Little freedom. But not wanting us to feel confident enough to show more leg.

I thought it was so you’d be embarrassed for anyone to see your thighs so you’d wear clothes that cover them AND to keep you from letting boys see your thighs… or more.

funny not funny but I'm depressed and I'm single so it really doesn't matter. I would never go in public like this. but I haven't been shaving. I used the Clippers on my lower leg just so I can get out the house in capris. and I'm also oral Rogaine for hair regrowth. and it grows hair everywhere obviously. so I have like 2 in long hair on the top of my legs. I was sitting next to my mom a few weeks ago and I looked dead at her and said my mom told me not to shave above the knee. and she said well I was wrong.😅

so, my mom's reason was the following: it makes your hair darker (it does not. I have darker hair than her) she also hated how her mom's legs felt when she would cuddle her as a kid, with the prickly hair. ...i shave my upper legs so...

My hair, above the knee, comes in very blonde and doesn’t grow as fast as my leg hair. I really only have to shave a couple times a year because it’s just not even noticeable.

Bc a modest woman, doesn’t show her upper thighs. And if you never shave it the hair won’t grown back to a point of not wanted. That’s how my grandma explained it. Dress hems were to be long, slits meant to be minimal.
