The Infinite Pencil Loop — Lost in Imagination ✏️ Whenever I travel to a place that inspires me, I take pictures and later combine them into seamless loops, blending real landscapes with my macro and microscopic material to create an infinite visual hallucination. This time, I imagined a paper plane flying through my dreams. Can you recognize any of the places along the way? For the most curious, here is a little technical breakdown. There is no AI involved in this video, just like in all my creations. For the wide shots, I take many individual photographs and carefully merge them together into one continuous sequence. For the macro sections, I use real macro lenses and photograph physical materials at very high magnification. In this video, you can also experience a journey through an electron microscope, a technology normally used for scientific research that I love exploring as an artistic tool. We reach approximately 5,000× magnification on a fragment of graphite from a mechanical pencil. That is actually not an extreme magnification for an electron microscope, but it is already more than enough to enter a completely new world. The transition from the pencil into the landscape was created using a carefully edited photographic composition and a gradual opacity transition. Finally, the paper plane is a 3D model composited into the sequence. I genuinely love sharing the process behind my work because I believe that understanding how something is created can make the final result even more fascinating. And perhaps it can also help prevent every unusual visual from being immediately labelled as AI-generated. So please, don’t ask me for the prompt. There is no prompt. Just imagination, photography, microscopy, 3D, and a LOT of production and post-production work. #loop #infinite #dream #superzoom #macro
