I genuinely hope this story ends with Naomi leaving that family and finding herself a better husband because this is insane. Not only he let his wife in the dark over a family matter that actually involves her too (key word, family) but also let her pass as a bad guy without even defending her. And the sister is an asshole too, expecting everyone to never mention pregnancy or not have babies until she was ready, I get it was a traumatic experience but that does not justify the scene she made at her brother's birthday

How were the wife and sister virtually “best friends” and yet the sister hadn’t shared this information? Yes the husband bears some responsibility, but clearly the sister hadn’t kept it a secret if her coworkers knew.

Im just confused, if the wife and sister are “best friend close” then why wouldn’t the sister share her loss with her? And if the husband knows how much his wife wants kids, why would he not mention like “hey by the way, there’s some sensitive stuff happening right now, so could you maybe not mention anything about starting a family around my side of the family for a while?” Then he could’ve very easily given his wife a heads up, respected his sisters privacy, and the wife wouldn’t have some insight to share the news privately with him, and they could wait to share until the sister was in a better place mentally

No one is more selfish than people who are DESPERATE to have a child but refuse to have it any other way but their “own” I will die on this hill that if anyone truly wanted a child to love, they wouldn’t care who’s child it really was as long as they were happy and healthy. Adoption is a long process it so is every other route. Many couples who deal with fertility issues would rather die from complications than to love a child who isn’t their own. 😔

I feel sorry for the sister, she wanted a break from everything to do with babies and the fact she cannot have any biological children is heartbreaking. Naomis husband is the asshole, Naomi is family
