There’s this wierd new trend where younger guys drive around in their new trucks with the windows rolled down and the volume cranked (on the factory radio)… it’s SO bad. These guys have NO idea what actual power sounds like.

You should not use an amps gain as a volume nob, but volume control through gain adjustment is a common type

yo i like my music real loud. im well versed in the audio world, but i havent messed with much speakers. im currently planning on building door panels for my doors in my single cab. im thinking 6.5s and 8s. should i run 2 6.5s and 2 8s? what would you do? i plan on the 6.5s carrying abt 300 to 1khz ish, and my 8s carrying 100 to 300 ish. (ill have a 2.5 and a 1 in my a-pillars

The bass roll off in my 2021 dodge Durango is annoying and it’s the base version and the volume still adjust itself and I turned that off

I kinda have no clue what I'm doing. I turned my head unit volume all the way up and tuned my LOC gain to the highest clean RCA signal I could get, then turned the knob all the way up and tuned the amp with a scope... Is that right? I'd assume you'd want the loudest input to set your ceiling, better to be quiet and clean than loud and wrong.

Good game , my first subs were some old 450 w pioneers impp 12” on s 2500 w amp i turned up the gain annd they went out one at a time . Any tips anyone ? 😭

just got a 1200 rms subwoofer for my 800w amp so i can safely run it. that 600w was clean but not enough power/headroom with it

it's truly amazing how many people don't know what clipping means, maybe it's because I moved from car audio to high end home theater equipment but I remember back in the day installing car audio lol
