genuinely i think if you’re into kink, you need to put in the work to understand the why behind it. i don’t have an issue with kink so much as I have an issue with people engaging with it with no reflection, research, or attempt to understand what in their life drew them away from “traditional” dynamics. it’s kind of the same way i feel about plastic surgery: if you understand WHY you feel pressure to do it and still decide to do it, that’s your choice. but doing it just because you feel like you ‘should’ is where the problem arises.

I’m 52. When a was a teenager and 20 something, there was still kinda stigma around women claiming their sexual energy and having casual sex, but fairly soon after, it was nbd except in conservative circles. What is frustrating me now is that women owning and celebrating sexual freedom without shame has been weaponized by the patriarchy😳. It’s now women who don’t want to partake in casual sex, and those who are turned on by vanilla who are shamed, because men once again have taken our sexual freedom to say no or be uncomfortable with “weird” stuff (I’m not kink shaming, I’m just trying to work with what’s allowed on TT). I was shocked by the entitlement of the vm dude demanding sex on the second date and how many people were shaming her for not wanting to be intimate so quickly. IMO girls and women shouldn’t be shamed for being vanilla or being….whatever they call not vanilla 😂.
