I think so because freshman has no idea on what org to join. Many bama rush is similar to joining a scholarship program. Which org you become a part of shape your life. If you pledge the top orgs you get the better girls or guys. The alumni is outstanding. My friend did the bama rush and it reminds me of joining an elite program. Get a greek house, etc. some divine 9 org has moved away from the purpose of the organization. Its sad but true. Honestly, some of them are so distaste now. Shaking monkeys, hazing people, putting down other divine 9 greeks, a freshman cant explore orgs to see which one is best for them. The organization can be of your value but the people are to busy stepping, dropping out and not helping younger people.

NO, should not duplicate Rush. need to go back to the always a tighten up the selection process leading into interviews. and remember just because someone is s your friend does not mean they're going to make a good brother. we're not a social club.

As someone who is interested in becoming Greek in a few years, if the organization I want to join does this, I would no longer be interested. I appreciate how rush is discreet on campus. It just makes joining feel more welcoming and chosen.
