I’m pretty sure I’ve seen pro surfers surfing with their one year olds haha obviously depends on skill level of the parent too, but once they can balance and stand as long as the adult is skilled enough and conditions are calm I think they can start going out pretty young

We did it from like 12 months old. Our kids have always loved the water, my husband has been surfing since he was young, we had a lifejacket on them and the waves were small and calm and they loved it! Now my 4yr old is surfing on his own 🥹
