The only reason he’s *still alive* is because he has on-call, free, top of the line healthcare. Nearly no limits. AND he doesn’t have to spend any energy on taking care of himself because he’s waited on hand and foot.

I also work in health care and used to work in a dementia units and have seen dementia patients living over 100yrs. And it was usually the most difficult pts that lived the longest. 🤷🏻♀️

also... my narcissistic father w dementia could "fake it" when he was around doctors, ppl who didnt see him often. they didnt see the real picture like us Full time caregivers saw. Trump is on his absolute best game when he is in front of cameras. which honestly makes this 1000 times worse to think about.

My nan lived for 17 years with dementia, my dad lived for 3 years with dementia. It depends on what underlying conditions they have.

I've worked memory care. I don't think he's as far along as close to dying, from that. Now his kidneys and cardio issues....I find much more imminently concerning. I'm totally not picky though 😂

My grandpa was told he wouldn’t live 3 days - water on lungs, fibrosis, congestive heart failure, advanced kidney disease, type 2, high bp and cholesterol, etc etc. HE LIVED 3 MORE YEARS.

To counter that: My dad had dementia caused by heart failure. I saw ALL of these symptoms between his 'can't drive' status and his 'no longer with us' status. It took less than two years overall. Copd plus kidney failure plus diabetes equals very severe decline in a short time. And I've seen ALL the signs you reference.
