omg i recently just got diagnosed with OCD and have been really struggling with it. finding you, larry and yana and learning you guys have it as well have let me feel like im not alone. and it would be SO cool to see an FMC who has it as well, representation really matters in books and in excited to read and see more of myself in a character!💖

YES. Characters who tend to struggle with their mental health hold so much more relatability and depth for me and I always feel super drawn to them and comforted by them. They truly are so dear to me.

i feel like in books in general there could be more research around mental health because sometimes I think it’s just generalised or basic assumptions about the disorder and that annoys me

I love when mental health is done well. Often it’s sugar coated, which, as someone who also has low lows, is disheartening.

I feel like real Mental illness rep is so uncommon in books, a huge reason why I’m enjoying Ballad of Fallen Dragons so much is because of the fact that Sarah didn’t make Raeve falling back in love with him fix all of her issues. I fucking hate that cause there’s so much more to mental health than a ‘true love’s kiss’. I need the written embodiment of Olivia Rodrigo’s the cure in books, love is everything but it can also be nothing when you’re fighting a mental battle no one can see

I feel like unbound by Peyton Corrine showcased OCD so beautifully. That was the first book I was able to see my OCD tendencies in another character. It was so beautiful to read and experience❤️
