From someone whose been/going through similar experiences. I just want to say THANK YOU for trying to always be so well spoken. Even for ourselves sometimes just acknowledging we know who we are is the biggest step. Many don’t want to change that because it’s better to stay like that than change (in our mind). I’ve learned my love language is trauma bonding and feeling like I always have to save others because I’d want them to do the same for me if they could. However, I’ve also learned not everyone needs saving. I’m actually glad you don’t blame him.

this right here is the basis of why our society is broken. I can't fix everyone... but I hope that my grown kids always strive to be better then most. one big thing was teaching my daughter her worth and teaching my sons to treat women well. I tried to teach them to lead by example by not being part of the problem.

you mentioned individual consciousness but I wonder a lot about kind of coming to your own ideas about what it is to be an enlightened person certainly from your own background and like.... I have a feeling you know what a bodhisattva is? and like I began at a young age to see myself as something like that being. there are lots of people like that in the world that understand and have seen deeper truths but you don't necessarily feel like you can leave samsara yet because you could help people. and that's a heavy thing. I was wondering if sometimes that's a little bit of what you mean

Whenever I tell my mom to stop yelling she gets incredibly angry and yells that she isn't yelling. Then she get aggressive and tells me to shut up and if I don't she gets physical. I just realized that's probably why I'm scared of sudden loud noises😭
