Vibe coding is creating garbage. I'm a welder fitter engineering and used AI to make all my own apps to remove the need for enterprise software but it took me a lot of testing to get it right it was not just vibe coding. I follow this guy's that was hyping vibe coding explain all this stuff with AI agents making him money etc, turns out he vibe coded a local host pet supply website. So much work for things sold on Temu.

my codes are fine thank, bcs I have unit tests, testing the app after every phase manually. You should always develop every part of your project separately. no mono repo bcs the agents will fuck it up. The communication between modules are markdown documentation which you always read and validate. That's my way.

The repair market is real but it prices strangely. With a normal legacy codebase there's design intent to recover - someone made choices you can reconstruct. With a generated one there's nothing underneath, just plausible code that happened to compile. So the quote to rewrite usually comes in under the quote to understand it, which is an awkward conversation to have with the founder paying.

I made a navidome client app for IOS that is basically the same as Spotify with AI features, algorithmic suggestions, library filtering and more. It's much better than Spotify because there is no profit motive in the music suggestions so I get actual great songs instead of the popular pop music
