not trying to support him, Israel is viewed differently in brazil it’s viewed threw religion idk how to put it but they believe supporting the “holy land” it will bring them divine favor and they use the israel flag during celebrations as a symbol of faith and of there identity, a lot of military personal nd people of higher status remain there by secure partnerships with isreal

You can basically assume this same thing about most Brazilian fighters. In the beginning of the ufc the Gracie’s, avid Israel supporters, were the ones who popularized bjj, and when it started popping off in Brazil they were the kings. They subtly put their political and religious beliefs into their teachings. Now almost every gym in Brazil supports Israel for basically no reason other than it being part of the culture
