MVD Driving Manual and NHTSA both recommend a 3 second following distance. Cops usually use a 2 second following distance standard, however most people follow at less than that. Exactly why there are so many rear end collisions every day.

But in another video he pulls someone over for not getting over for his partner on a traffic stop, and saying the guy had room, and the guy clearly said and showed that he would have to cut the person off it was to close like a car length, and he basically said oh well. This cop is the most crooked cop, it’s all for show of abusive power. I keep saying it, you can’t do people wrong and keep getting away with it, he will get what’s coming to him.
