GUYS if you need a tv try find a 2009 Sony bravia, it looks great, isn't smart and the sound quality is amazing! they're really cheap too because of how old they are (they do get burn in really easily so remember to turn them off if you need to pause it for a while)

guys i need help! i have iptv on a Google TV HD plugged into my dumb TV. it only accepts 5GHZ wifi not 2.4... it simply refuses to connect to 2.4. anf my router only lets me setup ONE guest network that HAS to be 2.4 and 5 togerher

I wouldn't connect a Smart TV to the internet ever. Skip WiFi set-up, do not agree to any terms, plug in an Apple TV box

I'll stick with my Roku if my TV needs to be replaced. it was one of the first smart TVs and that feature was basically useless.

I never let my smart tv access to the Internet. It keeps wanting to send data about me every week but I ignore the request to connect to the Internet. I use a secure laptop for all my streaming and browsing and a not so secure game console for games and physical media

I simply chose not to connect my smart TV to the Internet, and used an Apple TV with it instead 😅 Ugh, I wish we could have 'dumb' TVs back.

I haven’t connected my TV to any network at all. I just use an Apple TV, say what you will about Apple but they have a better track record of patching their software then the big TV-brands.
