GUYS if you need a tv try find a 2009 Sony bravia, it looks great, isn't smart and the sound quality is amazing! they're really cheap too because of how old they are (they do get burn in really easily so remember to turn them off if you need to pause it for a while)

I haven’t connected my TV to any network at all. I just use an Apple TV, say what you will about Apple but they have a better track record of patching their software then the big TV-brands.

I never let my smart tv access to the Internet. It keeps wanting to send data about me every week but I ignore the request to connect to the Internet. I use a secure laptop for all my streaming and browsing and a not so secure game console for games and physical media
