I had a lactation consultant look at her latch because for the first month or two the first couple mins of breastfeeding were excruciating, I would flinch then have to roll my ankles and breath through it until it stopped hurting but they said her latch and everything looked perfectly fine and I was just sensitive

Idk my baby had a perfect latch but my nips we’re not used to intense suction for hours every day- i feel like they gotta toughen up and that’s normal

When my baby was first born it took her so long to learn to latch properly and she caused blisters in my nipples and it was so painful😭

That’s so hard bc if you unlatch and relatch and all of the latches are bad and painful at what point do you just give in and suffer so your baby can eat? 🥺 my appt with my LC isn’t for another two weeks.

my son likes to adjust his latch while he’s already latched good. he also uses it as a pacifier 😅

yes, but also nipples do need to adjust and 'toughen' up at the beginning
