When I was a kid I loved getting makeup done for dance recitals at school, up close it did look like too much makeup (for a kid) but it helped a lot for photos and videos of the acttual recital and helped the audience to distinct the faces from afar, thats why it is required (even for boys) because there is a crear difference, but kids usually take it off as soon as they leve the stage because it was a wird feeling and, at least I thought I looked too different, like a costume, but I never thougt of it as a normal look at that age

I love this so much! Dance makeup is important, otherwise those bright lights wash out your kiddo and your photos of them on stage is going to make them washed out. My coworkers and I force our manager who is a girl dad be the kind of girl dad that will heal generational trauma.
