@wralnews5: A Good Samaritan drowned in Myrtle Beach after jumping into the ocean to rescue a young girl caught in a rip current. Police say the girl became caught in the current near 10th Avenue South just before 8 p.m. Friday, after lifeguards had gone off duty. The swimmer went in to help her but was pulled underwater and disappeared. Crews searched through the night, with the U.S. Coast Guard assisting. The swimmer’s body washed ashore Saturday morning.
