@shattered.glass.coaching: During a job interview, here's how to answer "What's your greatest weakness?" Three things to never do: ❌ Don't say "I'm a perfectionist." ❌ Don't disguise a strength as a weakness. "I’m too detail oriented" is not a great answer. ❌ Don't share something actually disqualifying. The right move: Pick a real skill gap you've genuinely improved. Show what you've done about it. For example: "Earlier in my career, I struggled with delegating. I'd take everything on myself. I've worked on this intentionally: built stronger systems, gotten more comfortable giving people ownership. It's still something I'm conscious of, but significantly better than where I started." This works because it’s honest, self-aware, and demonstrates growth. Pick a real weakness and show real growth. #interviewtips #interviewprep #interviewquestions #interviewskills #careercoach
there is no real good answer...even this response in the video is half ass. what interviewers want to hear is owning up to your areas of weakness. in an interview when you own up to "not calling back within 24-48 hours" or "not meeting a deadline" bc of staff shortages is the response they are really looking for. Anything short of that is just pacifying until the next question. The honesty in this answer tells the interviewer you are aware of your shortcomings, but gave a plan to make it better. That's the homerun
