My kid’s mother once saw a spider while in the car and proceeded to jump out… of a moving vehicle… that she was driving. The spider was on the outside of the windshield.

I totaled my first car because a spider somehow ended up ON MY NECK while I was driving to school. I fainted. thought I was hitting the break while i was powering down into survival mode. I was not. I dead weight floored the gas and went off a ledge into a tree. somehow being limp and unconscious is what saved me from shattering every bone in my body. concussion, yes. called to get a ride to school because my car was... "stuck... but probably fine" (the tree was inside the vehicle, which was a Volvo, which was a tank, that turned into an accordion). the firemen and paramedics who were carrying me to the ambulance on a back board were asking if I was having... dark thoughts... because, who does that? finally FINALLY one of the firemen saw it. confirmed it was not only real, it was huge. I asked if he... ended the spider. he said he did not want to get that close to it. THAT THING IS PROBABLY STILL OUT THERE. and here i am, 20+ years later, still thinking about it. spiders are not allowed in cars. period.

I'm a rural mail carrier. I, legit, have no fewer than 15-20 spiders throughout my vehicle at any given time. we've come to an agreement, they can stay as long as they don't touch me. it's a very tenuous agreement.

Spiders will learn your routine and intentionally avoid you. You obviously changed your routine and surprised . That poor thing is probably terrified and you should apologize to her immediately!

I lost one in my car 2 months ago. Having almost crashed a car once from finding one on me while driving I've now taken to always having "smashing gloves" in my car because I can't touch it, and it will disappear before I can stop. I know that particular one is probably gone by now...but what if...

I don’t want to alarm you but I had a nest of huntsman’s (Australia) in a car I got second hand from the blue mountains. We know it was a nest because b4 I sold it we had about 15 try to murder us… all at differnt times and some we killed some escaped but more kept coming and by murder I mean jump out and show themselves why driving. Had a full on ‘spider check’ b4 entering the car spots like the door handles, sun visor, anywhere that was easy to hide but easy to scare us like air vents… yes their legs would stick out and move in the vents. When driving my friend didn’t check the sun visor and she pulled it down to check her hair and one fell into her lap causing me to nearly smash into a oncoming car cos she jumped into my face/seat. That car was a nightmare I sold it, I warned the guy buying it for his wife cos I couldn’t not warn them…. I hope they somehow got rid of them

Vehicle spiders... Notorious for disappearing and coming out right over your friggin head, to drop down in your line of sight and laugh in your face while we have a panic attack realizing that the fight or flight response that usually applies, turns into the biggest "F THIS" moment as we try not to kill ourselves or others by trying to stop the vehicle and get out of the vehicle. Yeah, been there a time or two... LOL!

This happened to me on the interstate doing 80. My wonderful daughter killed it and threw it out the window.....but not before I screamed and almost cried. I did manage to keep it on the road so kinda proud of that I guess
