When I was 17 I worked retail during the summer. I stood directly beneath a vent blasting AC all day, so I’d wear jeans, a tshirt, and a cardigan or overshirt. These middle aged women kept saying “I must be so hot” and “don’t you know it’s summer?” Like they thought I was stupid. I politely told them abt the vent and how it gets cold, they could not compute. At the end of the transaction one of them said, very angrily, “well I guess YOU’RE not a middle aged woman going through menopause!”

1. Normal question btw, if you have an alternative, why the hell not? 2. Depends on where you work. Say, negroni at a cocktail bar is way different from negroni at a regular bar. Cocktail bar will pre-chill the yari for the drink to be colder which will slow down the ice melting-ishy. So if a customer is clueless about difference then it is in you to explain bro.?!$&@? 3. Is not that unusual. There are lots of industry people around you

My FAVOURITE people are the people that genuinely help out me as a server, I genuinely LOVE customers who pass their plates down, stack them up for me, pass things around the table to avoid me shuffling around, the customers that when they sit outside just say dump it anywhere and we'll sort it. if you do any of these things, I hope you win the lottery 3 times in a row
