Please consider making a video that connects ADHD and other neurodivergent conditions to biochemical factors like MTHFR variants, COMT, CAH, and MAOA mutations. The current diagnostic approach often relies too heavily on behavioral traits and subjective descriptions, rather than concrete biological data. A more comprehensive model should include genetic mutations, lifestyle factors, and functional vitamin and mineral statuses. While less conventional in mainstream settings, these factors are highly relevant and should arguably be a standard part of the evaluation.
Although neurodivergent individuals share certain traits, we remain unique. ADHD is a broad umbrella term, which makes precise diagnostics challenging. Misdiagnoses occur daily, and medication alone does not address an individual's unique biological profile. For instance, poor sleep or a functional copper deficiency can cause atypical reactions to medication, leading patients to doubt their diagnosis.
To resolve this, we need to expand our framework, refine our terminology, and implement better diagnostic tools. The current foundation is sub-optimal, leaving many to blame the diagnosis for everything without fully understanding the underlying biology. The primary issue is that genetic and biochemical variations are often overlooked by a medical system designed for standardized treatment. This lack of nuance fuels social stigma, shame, and identity confusion. Many rely entirely on conventional authorities, reducing their own self-sufficiency. Unfortunately, much of conventional science remains limited by institutional bias and commercial pharmaceutical interests. 😁
