11 years married. 🤍🥂 11 years of choosing each other. 11 years of growing together. 11 years of building a life, raising a family, chasing dreams, making memories, and becoming different versions of ourselves along the way. And one thing I’ve learned is that the moments that matter deserve to be enjoyed… not followed by financial stress. Anniversaries aren’t a surprise. Birthdays aren’t a surprise. Holidays aren’t a surprise. Vacations we know we want to take aren’t a surprise. So why do we keep waiting until they get here to figure out how we’re going to pay for them? This is exactly why I believe so heavily in sinking funds. Throughout the year, we can intentionally put money aside for the moments we KNOW are coming so when it’s time to celebrate, the money is already there. 🥂 No pulling from bill money. No swiping a credit card and worrying about it later. No touching the emergency fund. No guilt while spending. Just money that already had a purpose. Because budgeting was never supposed to mean you stop living. For me, building wealth also means being able to look at the person I’ve built this life with and say… “We planned for this.
