esthetician student here if you're using an enzyme mask which is ment for exfoliating. it is perfectly NORMAL to feel a small amount of tingling and warmth. it should never be unbearable pain but slight tingling is perfectly normal for an enzyme mask use (if you have one) a steamer on your face while that sits to activate the enzymes and hot towel to remove it. if you do use an enzyme mask make sure you follow it up with a cooling mask never use an enzyme without a cooling. if you want to do and mask but don't have time for both use the enzyme but follow it up with hydrating and cooling products.
