When I went to a women’s basketball game I was expecting it to be sold out and full of maga people, oddly enough, I sat almost front row and there wasn’t a ton of people there and I saw no red caps despite being in Texas. I thought republicans really cared about women’s sports 🧐

I lived in a small town in TX 25 years ago. I had a coworker born as Don and transitioning to Donna. Not one person that I worked with was bothered. We had a sensitivity training class to be sure that we understood her needs when she returned from surgery but she had been there for years working as Donna (and she had started when she was still going by Don). Not one person ever said a word to her or about her at work. She was well liked and respected in our IT department and no one intentionally misgendered her. I often think about her and what her life is like today with the ridiculous manufactured attacks on the small fraction of a percentage of people like Donna.
