Definitely inside. if there is any leaks, the whole thing will come off, and likely blow away. plus, safety, you want to be able to see out if you need to (something thumping or rattling in the wind or at night, or people outside). if you stick with wanting them outside, consider the door one on the inside so you can peek out to check on weather or people. also, don't forget to tape up your window weaping holes.

We used it on the outside and it was great ! We used a red multi use tape that feels like duct tape but without the residue. All parts came right off and saved for this year! Now, we went year before last so I know it’s ok for dust but not sure about rain, it did rain some in ‘24 but not enough to affect it. Anyway, be safe n see ya in the dust!
