i'm 20 and i told my parents i wanted to take of my hijab because it feels hypocritical for me to keep wearing it only because i was scared of getting more lectures and physical punishments from them. my so called father got angry and told me if i ever took it off he'd "take actions" even if i will see it as something "oppressive". how am i supposed to love and embrace something that is introduced in such a violent and absurd way to me since childhood?
