Trade chat is literally 80% Chinese plat/account selling websites. 10% LR ranks who don't understand how market saturation works and think the same items hold the value they did in their prime, 5% children trying to emulate the plat farmers and LR guys thinking they'll get rich off one mid rolled riven, and the final 5% are actual players looking to make legitimate trades.

I remember when I returned to the game after 2 years away. I wanted all the heirloom skins (675p at the time) so I got to selling rivens I never thought much of. After I got to 675 I convinced myself that I would need more plat for a rainy day. So I kept selling, then I started flipping. Long story short after 6 months I wound up with 13k plat. Greatest grind of my life.

sounds like this guy who got upset that I offered 25p for growing power he told me.to go farm it but he was sitting on 50 trying to sell"60p each" that's y he has 50 still. prices fluctuate but trade channel will rip you off on high end prices

The in game market is so over priced. Warframe market is just people getting rid of extra sets. So it's typically a lot cheaper. I bought Gyre prime for 50 plat yesterday

use the "not" option to toggle off things you can't sell. I'm not a pet breeder so i toggle off "lotus" (rare fur pattern) same with some common meta rivens

Use Warframe . Market. Trade is like 50% + more expensive. Got wisp prime for 70p and trade people are selling it for 100-120p
