People don’t realize this film requires a specific taste and level of understanding. Stanley Kubrick was a highly sophisticated filmmaker whose work was intended to make people think about what they had just seen, People nowadays just don’t understand that if you actually research something, talk to your friends about it, make conversations, and build your views on something, you can discover so much more than you think. Kubrick’s main goal was to create movies for intelligent people, who respect a movie for not just dialogue and story. If you learn to understand that, then maybe, then you would realize how amazing 2001 is, and finally enjoy the film.
