I am actually sooooooo proud of the dad for standing firm behind his baby and taking her feelings serious. Even if it was cheap makeup it wouldn’t make it any better. The point is that it’s her stuff. They can’t just take things without asking. It sounds like those kids just do whatever they want and the parents do nothing about it. That’s why the grandparents didn’t want to let them stay.

💯 on Zoe’s Dad’s side. It is NOT normal for girls to just take things from each other without permission and especially after being told the boundaries (more than once it sounds like). The uncle’s response is also very troublesome and honestly it would not be unreasonable to kick him out after his daughters’ behaviors and his enablement of it. Nah. Bonus people in your house don’t need to have access to your private/safe space. These are not siblings that grew up with the same manners. It’s completely fine to not allow access to your private space.
