I thought this a fine poem to read aloud this morning. An excerpt of Walt Whitman’s, “I Sing The Body Electric” from 1855. A celebration of the human body, and a reminder of the sacredness of these bodies: not just vessels, but perhaps our souls in form. Kinda wild he had these insights 171 years ago, though he reminds in the full poem how these views have been common across human culture for time immemorial. Perhaps modern culture has begun to forget.. especially entering the age of information and ai.. though it is never too late to remember. #waltwhitman #spokenword #purpose
