are people dumb? yeah the bat is more, but its not even about that How can you just look at numbers alone. 1. the bat is basically worthless to the player, its HIS signature and he makes way more than that. 2. its something for both parties, player gets a card they want, fan gets a signed bat and a cool story.

items are only woth as much as some1 is willing to pay for it. if both parties cared about the value they would sell it, player the bat and kid the card. but you cant put a value on the interaction and joy they both had doing that during a live game.
