Most of these B-book brokers don’t even send your trades to the actual live market, they just process everything in-house effectively taking the other side of your trade. Your profit is therefore potentially a cost to the broker and your loss potentially revenue to it, creating an inherent conflict of interest. So for these types of brokers news shouldn’t affect trading conditions at all. What you’re saying applies more to A-book brokers.

No it's wrong. Brokers should close down if they are not equipped enough to handle such trades. They seem to be quite happy when we lose money.
