I just wanted to make this post because I’d rather speak about this situation carefully instead of letting misinformation spread, especially since the series has only just started airing. I’ve seen some people spreading rumors that Yugene reposted videos related to Trump and Charlie. So I checked his account myself because I didn’t want to believe or repeat something without actually looking into it. I went through his reposts from the most recent ones all the way back to his very first reposted video to see what was actually there. I’m also sharing screenshots of the reposts I found during my own check, including the reposts I came across while scrolling through his account all the way back to his first repost. I’m sharing them so people can see what I actually found instead of just relying on rumors or screenshots without context. You can also go to his account and check the reposts yourself. From what I could find, most of his reposts are about K-pop, K-dramas, football, car racing, games, and other random things he seems interested in. Some people said that we can’t find the Trump- and Charlie-related reposts because Yugene already deleted them. Personally, I’m not sure about that, because I don’t think we should automatically assume something was deleted just because we can’t find it now. That’s why I think it’s better to stick to what we can actually verify. But even if it is true that he reposted those videos, from what people are showing, it was only two Trump-related videos and one Charlie-related video. I don’t think we can automatically conclude from just those three reposts that he is a supporter of either of them. He could simply have been interested in something related to American politics or American culture. And one thing I noticed is that the videos people are talking about were not about homophobia, racism, misogyny, or anything like that. At the same time, while checking his reposts, I found other things that I think are also worth mentioning. He reposted content about accepting people for who they are and letting everyone feel safe being themselves. He also reposted LGBTQ-related content, including gay and lesbian content, and he reposted a video about how being kind to each other is the best thing. I’ve included screenshots of the reposts I personally found while checking his account, including those kinds of posts. Many of these reposts are still on his account, so you can go and check them for yourselves too. Please look at the actual account and the actual reposts instead of relying only on rumors or other people’s interpretations. So honestly, based on what I can actually see, I think we should be careful about labeling him or making assumptions about his beliefs based on a few reposts. At the end of the day, he seems like a random guy who likes K-pop, K-dramas, football, car racing, games, and other things — and apparently, he’s also just a shipper like us haha. I’m not trying to defend or accuse him of anything. I just don’t want misinformation to spread, especially when the series has only just started airing.
