Ok so not exactly Kent but Rye is a beautiful small medieval town! It’s just outside of Kent on the Sussex coast. If not this trip I highly recommend for another one. There’s so much to see but easily done in a day or two. 💕

I highly recommend #CanterburyTales! I went there this week with my husband and little girl and it was an amazing immersive experience! Then take a walk along the river - absolutely beautiful!

Kent born and raised here 🙋🏼♀️Tenterden is a lovely little town. You can get a steam train there to Bodiam castle. Dover and Sissinghurst castle are also lovely places. Rye isn’t in Kent but very close and also lovely. Whitstable is another must! Really lovely seaside town. I’ve just spent the weekend there.

Deal is great (independent shops and by the sea) and has 3x castles near by - Walmer, Deal and Dover castle (English heritage and worth a visit). Broadstairs is nice too - Morelli's is an amazing ice cream shop there. Margate has Tate Modern and independent shops.

I live in Faversham and it's a very cute market town (10 mins from Canterbury by car). Canterbury is a lovely city- make sure you go to the Cathedral. Whitstable and Margate are great for independent shops and trendy restaurants. Folkestone has a great arts and foodie scene (go to the Harbour arm), Deal is lovely but not much to do there. We have some beautiful villages to visit like Charing, Wye, Chilham. Then we have all of the lovely old buildings like Rochester Cathedral/ castle, Leeds Castle, Hever Castle, Dover Castle. Have a fab time ♥️

Ooh… I would recommend Ightham Mote, Downe House (Charles Darwin’s house) , Chartwell (Churchill’s Residence), Rochester, Canterbury, Knole park. I see you have already gone to Hever Castle but there are so many good historical spots! I hope you enjoy your stay at Kent 🥰

Folkestone Harbour is lovely, so many brilliant National Trust properties including Chartwell which was the home of Winston Churchill. there's Rochester castle and cathedral, Dover Castle, Hever Castle and Leeds Castle (which is in Maidstone not Leeds 🤣). Lullingstone Roman Villa is good and near a beautiful village called Eynsford. Chatham Dockyard is a good day out as well. Lived in Kent my whole life and love it.
