Law of Conservation of Mass:
Mass can neither be created nor destroyed in a chemical reaction. It can only be changed from one form to another.
Therefore:
Total mass of reactants = Total mass of products.
When water undergoes a physical or chemical change, its total mass is conserved. Water may change from a solid to a liquid or gas, but no mass is created or destroyed. In a closed system, the total mass before and after the change remains the same.
