I understand the premise of how stories can be excellent and it doesn't need a satisfying ending but it fell kinda flat for me. None of the people who wronged the female protagonist received any consequences, the Gods and worldbuilding seemed underdeveloped and choppy. The play seems like an epilogue to a bigger story rather than a complete work of fiction.

Have you read any of Brecht's other plays? If not, you should definitely do so. Mother Courage and Her Children is excellent (I should note Margarete Steffin made significant contributions to that one)!
