I don’t really see many explaining the Mendez brothers story right so I’ll try my best. The Mendez brother, Eric and Lyle, we both being abused. Mainly by their father, but also their mother. Their father would(if I remember my information correctly) make them do inappropriate stuff. And their mother would also be just bad with them. So one day Eric and Lyle decided to kill them. There’s more to this case but this is the most relevant stuff. Now for idk much about Gypsy Rose’s story but I know it is also fudge up. Though I do fully agree with the Mendez brothers to be free just like Gypsy Rose(I hope this helped a bit and if I got some of my stuff wrong I’m sorry)

Her story and his story are kind of the same, but she was not abused, but she was took in control of and she thought she was allergic to a lot of stuff, but she wasn’t allergic to anything. Her mother just said that for her to stay with her forever.
