Hey! We had a similar mom!! 😅I’m the oldest of 6, and yeah- no cooking, people over, or going outside while mom was away. She worked 2 jobs: so she was almost always away. We were also an ingredient house, no ready made snacks just laying around. So me and my siblings had experimental concoctions we’d make. Their fave was bisquick with pb & syrup. 😝

Same!! The baby rule, the chore rule, all of it. 🤣 As a Gen X teen in the early 90's, there weren't ring cameras or digital cell phones, so they had neighborhood spies everywhere.😳 I still leave my house now with a bag of anything I "might need" 🤣

I wasn’t allowed to have friends or leave the house for anything but school unless a parent was going with us. And that would normally be going to get groceries or smth. When I turned 16 I could sometimes leave the house but most the time I was getting punished for having depression and that punishment was always isolation. I moved out as soon as I could. Even had my dad threatening to hold me hostage. People ask why I’m only close to my grandparents 😂

I was raised by grandparents-I was told I don't have friends and the "no one allowed over" only applied to me🙃 I was the good kid compared to the cousins but was treated like the worst child alive😑
