The Rajatarangini of Kashmir wrote of Khas kings ruling these hills. Then from Sinja Valley in Jumla, the Khas (क्षेत्री) built the Khas malla empire. The Dullu pillar names our kings back to Nagaraj. Krachalla’s copper plate, 1223. Ripu Malla on the Lumbini Ashoka Pillar, 1312. From Sinja the Khas Malla ruled across the Karnali, into Uttarakhand, up to western Tibet.
