What you see in the water is not simply light. It is the movement of the ripples, the waves moving from somewhere deep within, like a cry from the soul. The ripples do not need the light to exist. The light only illuminates them and gives us a bright direction in which to see them. But the ripples do not need us to give them a direction. They have their own power, their own movement, and their own way of flowing. That is the power of the ripples. When the tide comes toward us, we cannot stop its force. All we can do is let it move freely. Let it open, let it turn, let it move, and let it cry out in its own way. Nature absorbs everything, and from everything that grows and disappears, it creates life again. Then, somehow, the power of the ripples is ignited once more. Perhaps there is a little hesitation in all of this — a moment when the wave pauses before it begins to move again.
