My kids teachers could ask for a 6 pack of beer and I’d meet her in the parking lot. They have my children 6 hours a day and meet their educational, emotional, and safety needs. Home girl can have WHATEVER she wants. Shoot my husband is handy, I’ll send him over to fix some things to.

It’s a job. Firefighters do all kinds of training and I’m not guilted or shamed into bringing paper plates and Lysol wipes.

I’d love to know if a parent had ever been through an Alice training and had a cop look at you and say you can’t run for your own children…who are in the building even if you hear the announcement say the shooter is near their classroom.

And for goodness sake teach your children to be quiet during these drills so the teacher and other kids have more of a chance to make it home. I was horrified when my daughter told me the boys are always loud. I thought my generation was teaching respect. I wish I could do more for these teachers who sacrifice so much already.

This year my twins are in first grade. I accidentally clicked on the kindergarten list and then when I got home k realized my mistake. What did I do? Bagged them up for the kindergarten teachers at our school and went out and bought the 1st grade supply list. Because it’s just that easy to care about all kids futures.

I’ve had to be locked in a room full of kindergarteners while my own 3 kids were in separate rooms and I couldn’t run to them. Buy the fucking school supplies!

Girl, I already told my husband to open up the budget. Our last baby hits kindergarten this year and shes one of those covid babies that are of the spicy variety 🤣🤣🤣ima owe her teacher a whole spring break cruise by the time its over.

Parents, just stop. I am a teacher and a parent too. We all pay taxes. I spent hundreds on back to school clothes, and a few bucks on back to school supplies for my own kid. I also spent money out of pocket for every student in my class to have all of the things they need, so I didn’t have a single parent complaining about having to buy a pencil for their own kid. I bought pencils, pencil boxes, crayons, markers, scissors, glue sticks, note pads, composition books and more, for every student. No Amazon Wishlist. I don’t want your kid to be the only one in class without supplies. Growing up dirt poor, I’ve been that kid.i know what it does to self esteem. Don’t worry, we’ve got you, even if our home budgets take a hit.
