@poshaowamashaza: I think it’s important that I address what happened because, honestly, I found the situation very unfair. We arrived as early as 6 p.m. because we understood how demanding the show would be and wanted to make sure we were there on time and prepared. Even getting our flash drive to the stage management so that our music could be loaded into the system was a struggle, but we remained patient and cooperative. I fully understand that every artiste deserves an opportunity to perform, and I respect that. But I believe I deserved that same opportunity too. I was there early, I waited, I stayed until the very end, and I watched artiste after artiste who came after me get their opportunity to perform. What I need is clarity. I want to understand what happened and why I was not given the opportunity to perform when I was present and ready. I remained there until we were eventually asked to leave the stage stairs. I don’t want to create unnecessary conflict, and I’m not accusing anyone of sabotage or discrimination. But I also don’t believe that staying silent is always the right thing to do. Sometimes you have to respectfully stand up for yourself and ask the difficult questions. So my question is very simple: If every other artiste was given an opportunity to perform, why wasn’t I?
