The twins were born on Aug. 6, just days before Singapore's 61st National Day. After spending many years overseas as a table tennis athlete and now working with Sport Singapore, Yu said Singapore has become an important part of her life. "To welcome my 2 little ones here makes this chapter even more special," she said. Yu also wished Singaporeans a happy National Day, saying she hopes Singapore will continue to be a place where people from different backgrounds can come together, pursue their dreams, and build a future for the next generation. "For me, this National Day is also a reminder that while I have spent many years chasing dreams on the sporting field, I now have 2 little ones to inspire me to become a better person every day," she said.
