Here is my copy cat version of pepper lunch or simply a steak skillet fried rice I made for dinner at camp 🏕️ A cool camp hack for easy cooked rice is using the prepackaged ones you find at most grocery stores now. You just pop in the whole package in some boiling water for 10 minutes and it’s ready! Recipe: Steak Skillet Fried Rice (Pepper Lunch copycat) Serves: 2-3 1 lb ribeye, cut into bit size pieces 4-5 cloves garlic thinly sliced 1 cup beech mushrooms, or variety of choice 1/2 cup corn kernels, frozen or canned 2 green onions, thinly sliced 2-3 eggs Salt and pepper to taste Cooking oil 2 cups cooked rice (or 2 - 7.9 oz packs of ready cooked rice) Sauce: 2 tbsp oyster sauce 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp sugar 1/2 tbsp seasoning sauce or maggi 1 tsp chicken bouillon 1 tsp ground black pepper 1. If using packaged rice, add the sealed packs into boiling water for 10 minutes to fully heat through. Take it out of the boiling water, keeping it unwrapped and set aside. 2. In a small bowl, combine oyster sauce, soy sauce, seasoning, sauce, sugar, chicken bouillon, and black pepper. Mix well and set aside. 3. In an oiled and hot pan fry 2 to 3 eggs, sunny side up. Set aside. 4. Lightly season ribeye with salt and pepper. 5. In the same pan, add sliced garlic, and stir fry until lightly golden then add in the ribeye and then cook until your desired temperature. Halfway through, add mushrooms and stir-fry together. 6. Create a crater in the center and add the cooked rice, sprinkle corn all around then top it with fried eggs and garnish with green onions. Turn the burner on low. 7. When ready to eat pour sauce mixture as desired. Mix well and enjoy as is! #camphack #camping #campfood #campinglife #campingideas #EasyRecipe #steak #cookingoutside #outdoorcooking
