@jaxonlaze: My dog wears a vest depending on various factors but one thing I stand by is that we have no gear association. My dog understands context and I hate the idea that he should be reliant on an item to be able to work. To me that’s not functional… Again I’m not knocking it, I’m simply saying that’s not what I choose for my dog. To that end, don’t be fooled by a vest, any dog can wear a vest meanwhile a properly trained service dog will demonstrate what they are instead!

I took my SD to Walmart a few weeks ago and while we were at self check out the manager said "thank you". I asked what for and she said "for actually having a real service dog". She said she could tell just by him acting a certain way that he was legit trained. I cant believe people do that stupid shit!

I’ve never understood why people just walk up to random dogs, or don’t teach their kids to not do it. You don’t know if a dog is reactive or not. A dog can look friendly, but still react. You should always ask the owner!
